Dear Christ Church Family- What a joy to be reunited and physically present with each other to celebrate our Lord’s work together! As we gather to worship and celebrate, we’ve put some guidelines in place to promote everyone’s health, and to honor and love each other. It is our prayer that as we continue to offer hope and a home, we would bring the peace, safety and comfort of Jesus to our entire church family.
Worshiping Together –
Preparing For Worship –
Wardens and Clergy have prepared our sanctuary to support appropriate distancing and have sanitized all high-touch surfaces. Fr. Brian and Dcn. Gerry, along with the Wardens, have personally walked through the mechanics of our worship service, and have rehearsed the details for our service to ensure the highest degree of safety as we worship the Lord. Feel free to contact your Clergy or Vestry prior to, during, or following our worship. Finally, pray for our worship each week, pray for those who have lost and who are suffering in this season, and pray for our congregation and the world as we continue to walk through the valley together. OUR LORD IS NEAR!
Worshiping Together –
- Be at Peace. Temperature checks and extra precautions are here, that our family might feel an extra comfort as we gather to worship.
- Be Active. Greet, sit, stand, sing praises, and proclaim the Word, while appropriately distancing.
- Make Adjustments. The sanctuary is our gathering place. Move around, and adjust chairs however you, your family, and your neighbor feel most comfortable.
- Be Comfortable. Participate in as much of our Liturgy as you desire. We’ll walk through this together. Ushers will ensure appropriate distancing while we move around the sanctuary. For your comfort and safety, hand sanitizer is available throughout the church.
- Let the Children Come. Children have been and will always be welcomed as a part of our worship time. Children’s conversations and movements about the sanctuary are not a distraction or interruption. Feel free to use the nursery, or any auxiliary room if you want to step out. Labeled boxes of coloring supplies are available for pick-up in the Sunday School room.
- Be the Church. Following our service, our Coffee Hour and fellowship will be held outside; “go out into the world” and stay for fellowship as much as you desire and are comfortable. Bring camp chairs or picnic blankets if you’d like!
Preparing For Worship –
- Pray. Pray for clergy and vestry, for their preparation in advance of worship, and for their leadership and support of the congregation during worship. Pray for each other, for joy and peace as we gather.
- Self-Monitor. If you feel sick or have been around others who are sick, please watch our Live Stream.
- Masks. If you do not have a facecovering, we have one to provide you while you enter the sanctuary.
- Patience. Clergy and leaders will be guiding us through each element of our worship, and as a result our service might take a little bit longer than usual.
